My kids and I enjoyed my sister and her family's visit for the first 3 weeks of this month. Unfortunately, on the third week, I came down with Bells Palsy and felt like I had been kicked in the head by a horse. The meds I got put on made me nauseous and dizzy, so that didn't help. I spent a week and a half mainly in bed and am just now starting to feel human again. I still don't have full use of the right side of my face, but it is getting there.
My three oldest girls left for girls camp on Tuesday, so the house feels empty. I thought for sure Brittany would show up home early, but am happy she hasn't. She got an orthodontic device installed the day before they left and was sore and miserable, unable to open her mouth more than about an inch. I am glad that they have all stuck it out and can't wait to have them back on Saturday. "We definitely need balloons," Ethan told me.
