Sigh of relief and a big yawn

No new problems found from the ultrasounds...yay!!! But, discussing the facial pain he recommended upping my meds by 1-3 pills a day. Can't tell yet if it will make a difference except that it made me sooooo sleepy last night. I was falling asleep around 9:00. But, maybe it will allow me to stop or cut back on the ambien. Took melatonin a couple nights ago and I was jolting awake every time I started drifting off.
On another note, yesterday was the last day of school. Ethan began his morning by singing "If you're happy and you know it" in his sleep. We enjoyed his Kindergarten graduation, even though he kept knocking caps off of other kids (he was one of several who couldn't sit still).
Did Webelos training this morning. Glad to have that over with. Taking them on a hike next week...that will be interesting...hope it doesn't do me in.
Our computer won't allow us online, so I'm borrowing my brothers. It worked fine until the power flicked off for a second last night. John spent the morning on the phone with Comcast with no luck. Hopefully he can get it going again later today.

Two more days

until I get my ultrasound results (sounds weird, not being pregnant...). Anyway, I called the endo. awhile back to get my exact test results and to see what tests were done (just the most basic, of course) :-P
It turns out that I had swung from hypothyroid to just off the chart of "normal" for hyperthyroid. Unfortunately I didn't get the energy to go along with it. Anyway, My Dr.'s office had me lower my meds--I don't get retested for a few more weeks, though to see where I'm at now. I'm also hoping to get her to run a few more tests.
I'm also going to talk to the neuro. about adding one more pill for my nerve pain--it makes me tired, but the pain is kicking back up throughout the day.
After this week, kids will be out of school and I won't be babysitting, so I plan to start taking a walk most mornings and maybe some other exercise routine later on in the day. I need the exercise and it should help keep me from feeling sleepy...but, will it zap the little energy I have???

Long Weekend

Friday was D and E's dance festival-it was fun to watch and reminisce about having to dance every single year in elem. school. My older kids lucked out.
Saturday was spent getting stuff done around the house. Sunday-church. And today, Memorial Day, we went through some model homes and got more done around the house. Not nearly as much as I would have liked, but it's getting there...D.I. has been and will be getting a lot from us. I just dread hitting the stuff stored in the basement-I know I will be hearing "No, I want that!" way too much.
As for homes, I love Fieldstone's Walk-in-closets and big pantries, but they are just boxy and boring. Liked Ivory, but pricing might be too high for the size we want. Also liked McArthur...Golf course location is too pricey, but their other location is okay, and will have a community center with a pool. But, our favorite was Richmond. They have a nice model where 2 extra rooms and a bathroom are built into the attic-a good option when they can't do basements at that location. They also had another that was their old model home, I guess. It was very nice, too, and had the possibility of having the furnishings included.
Anyway, don't know if we'll pull it off...still need to get financing done. Chances are I will need to go back to work. Not what I want to do right now, when I'm still feeling crappy and meds are still being adjusted and such, but it might be the only way we'll pull it off anytime soon...especially if we try to do a 15 yr.

Phooey

Went to the D.O. a couple of days ago--just discussed the endo. visit and my hip pain---bursitis. Got a prescript. for that and the # of a Sports Med. Dr. in case it doesn't improve soon (it's been over a month already...maybe two).
Called to get my ultrasound results...they wouldn't give them to me...said the Neuro. would go over them with me at my next appt. (the 29th).
Tired of being tired...even worse now with the med. for my nerve damage pain.
Hoping to start conquering my 'to-do' list next month, with the kids out of school.

Say what!?!

Sometimes I am surprised at what comes out of my 6 yr olds mouth. Today it was 'nematodes' and 'chick magnet'. (Not in the same sentence-LOL)

Latest Tests

I had my heart, neck and brain ultrasounded yesterday. The Neuro. wasn't concerned about the white spots on my brain and said that location wise and symptom wise he wouldn't suspect MS (yay!!).
I guess what happened is that my brain MRI (from last October) never got read until when the neuro.'s office called for the results last friday.
So, now I'm waiting for the ultrasound results. I also go back to my DO next week.

RIDICULOUS!!!!!

Just got a call from my original dr.'s office with my MRI results...um...that was back in October. I guess when the neurologist requested them last friday it triggered something. Anyway, she says "You have two small white matters in your left frontal lobe...have you had a lumbar puncture done?" Um...no...ow...doesn't sound fun. Yeah, it's a spinal tap. Hopefully the neurologist will have a better, less painful idea. And why is this just happening now...what happened to when the MRI was first done? I will hopefully talk to the neurologist office today and see what they have to say...my follow-up with them isn't until the end of the month.
Can they just stop finding more and more things wrong with me!?!?!?!?
